Sagarshrikhetra, known for its ancient temples and profound spiritual aura, beckons pilgrims and seekers alike to embark on a journey of introspection and tranquility.

Mahaprabhu Jagannath’s unsurpassed rhythmic field .In 1611 during the reign of Puri Gajapati Maharaj II purushottam Dev, the Kalyan Malha (Kalapahar) Sri Temple was repeatedly attacked.
Gajapati purushottam Mahaprabhu kept Sri Balabhadra Dev, Sri Jagannath Dev, Mata Subhadra Devi hidden in a thorn bush near Khatinasi in Brahampur village for the protection of Mother Subhadra Devi.

The name of this place is recorded in Madala Panji, the legendary book of Lord Mahaprabhu, as Chiknasi, as Sri Jivas used to sit there.

  • Camping: visitors can enjoy camping at the sagar shrikhetra island. The camp provides tents and other equipment, spend a night under the stars, and enjoy the moon beam at chilika lake with open cool air.
  • Dolphin view point : visitors can take a boat ride to dolphin point, where they can spot the playful dolphins in their natural habitat.
